The
Institute of Technology Australia's curriculum has been developed by
a team of highly experienced academics from universities throughout
Australia. Each subject has been specifically designed to produce an
interactive learning experience. Textbooks and recommended readings
supplement the online material and provide a rich source of
information. All online courses are fully accredited by Australia's
Queensland Minister for Education, Training and the Arts.
To undertake IOTA’s courses in the online/distance mode on an ongoing basis, you’ll need to have reliable internet access and a computer that meets the following minimum hardware and software requirements:
- Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz processor
- 80 Gb hard drive
- 512Mb RAM
- 17” LCD monitor
- Standard Desktop Operating System comprising but not limited to:
- Windows XP Professional operating system
- Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (or more recent version)
- Approved Anti-Virus Software (Symantec Anti Virus Corporate)
If you tell us that your internet access or your computer doesn’t meet these requirements, or if we have concerns about telecommunications reliability in your local area, you’ll need to study through one of our study support centres.
You’ll also need to study through one of our study support centres if we think you’re not making satisfactory progress in your studies because of inadequate IT infrastructure.
IOTA
students undertake three study periods (trimesters) each year, allowing
you to complete your studies in the shortest amount if time possible. A
full-time Bachelor degree can be completed in as little as two years
and a Masters degree in one year.
Choose from our recognised online Bachelor and Masters degrees below.
Each IOTA
degree provides students with a structured, progressive, modular
approach to study. Alternative entry and exit points to the
overall degree and flexible time frames allow students to tailor
their course to suit their goals. The nested
qualifications give you the flexibility to take a break from
studies, with a recognised award, and come back to complete the
degree at your convenience.
