Professor Ian Forbes

Professor Forbes is the immediate past-Head of School of Health Services Management within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of New South Wales, a position he held for seven years until he left the university at the end of 2001. He is currently the Head of the Health Portfolio at Woodhead, an international architectural and planning practice, based in Sydney. He is an Adjunct Professor and the Director of the Research Unit "Group for Health Architecture and Planning" (GHAAP) within the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building at University of Technology Sydney.

 

Associate Professor Ruth Foxwell

Ruth’s career has been a partnership between scientific practice in clinical microbiology and prevention of infectious disease in Australia, the UK and the Middle East; teaching and research in Universities: and undertaking significant leadership roles.  She currently serves as a member of the Australian Capital Territory Accreditation and Registration Council and is a Higher Education Advisor on their Higher Education Committee, is a member of the Executive of the Board for the Federation of Australian Science and Technological Societies and Chairs the National Qualifications Committee for the Australian Society for Microbiology.  She has previously been Chair of the University of Canberra Academic Board and has set up strategic initiatives with external stakeholders including sports feasibility studies and strategic developments in Health with the ACT Government.  She has also held varying senior university management appointments.



Dr. David Halfpenny

Dr. Halfpenny has been a lecturer for over 10 years at the Sydney Institute of Business and Technology and Macquarie University. Dr. Halfpenny's areas of interest are in computer science, programming and technology.

 

Dr. Melissa Bordogna

Dr. Bordogna has over 10 years of teaching experience online and on-ground in both the USA and Australia.  She has taught for institutions such as the University of Denver, Baker College Online, the University of Notre Dame Sydney and Central Queensland University Sydney International Campus.  In addition to her academic work, Dr. Bordogna has nearly 12 years industry experience in the area of marketing communications and most recently, corporate training.  Dr. Bordogna’s areas of interest include e-marketing as well as human communication and media studies.     

 

Dr. Nicole Ibbett

Dr Ibbett previously worked in a variety of commercial accounting fields, including roles with organisations from the financial sector, the building sector and the NSW Public Service. Since turning her focus to academia, Dr Ibbett has taught across a range of accounting and finance related areas for a variety of institutions, including SIBT, UWS and CQU, and has provided distance tutoring for Cengage Education. Dr Ibbett was awarded a DBA from the University of Newcastle in 2008 upon completion of a dissertation investigation the use of graphs in annual reports published by NSW Local Government Authorities.

 

Dr. Julie Sutherland

Dr Sutherland has 15 years experience lecturing and tutoring in the areas of economics and statistics at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She has taught at the University of Wollongong, the University of Technology, Sydney, and Trinity College, Dublin, from where she received her PhD in economics. Her research involves microeconometric analysis of the performance of local and multinational enterprises in both the Irish and Australian manufacturing sectors, with an emphasis on the productivity and export ability of firms.
